Amanda Winder, BSc, FCIPD

Amanda has over 25 years HR and training experience of which 20 years has been within construction. Following on from her degree, Amanda spent sometime working within the food industry and then moved into food retail with Tesco. It was here she started her Training & HR career and found her passion in helping people learn and develop their potential. Her work experience has included roles in general management as well as HR and Learning & Development management & delivery. In 1994, Amanda moved to the construction sector where she spent 19 years working for 2 large well-known construction companies.
In April 2013, she decided to use her wealth of learning & development knowledge & experience to set up her own consultancy, Strive Development Ltd.
Amanda’s expertise includes:

Amanda is a Fellow of the CIPD, an accredited MBTI Practitioner & holds an ILM L5 Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring. She is also a volunteer for the “Inspiring the Future” initiative which involves delivering career talks and advice to school pupils and a member of the Worshipful Company of Constructors.
Virgil Officer
Social Value Consultant
Virgil has 20 years plus experience in construction and education combined. Virgil trained as a furniture maker and then worked on sites before moving into teaching and education. This where he found a passion for helping young people meet their aspirations.
Most recently Virgil worked for CONEL college where he coordinated the construction departments delivery of the Mayors Construction Academy before being assigned to managing the Enfield Construction Skills Academy. In this role Virgil had to manage course development and delivery and engage with key stakeholders monthly.

Sandra has been working for over 10 years in the social value sector, after spending the previous 25 years in the finance industry working in the City of London. It was after undertaking a degree in Sociology and Social Psychology that she decided to look at a different career path.
Experienced and visionary professional with an excellent record of accomplishment in achieving targets and building rapport, in addition to maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
