Managing Contractor’s S106/Employment & Skills Plan Targets
Strive Development has been working with McLaren on projects in Hackney and Wembley in achieving their Employment and Skills Plan targets over the last year.
This work has involved negotiating with the local authorities on the target number of apprentices so that they are achievable and will receive the required level of supervision. We have also offered additional benefits to the local community such as work experience, construction open days, site visits and engaging with local schools and community groups. We have assisted sub-contractors in advertising and recruiting apprentices.
A couple of work experience candidates developed and presented an inspiring presentation to a local youth group on working in construction and the opportunities it presents.
Recently Amanda has been coaching a newly promoted Depot Manager. Sessions have included given input on key management areas such as effective communication, managing your team and increasing self-awareness. If this is of interest to you then email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.
Earlier this year, Strive Development was awarded the Silver Talent Match Mark by Youth Employment UK in recognition of it’s support of young people into the workplace.
Amanda was awarded a certificate in recognition of her long-term membership of CIPD and ongoing service to the HR and L&D profession.
